Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Syla One (“Syla”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) builds a connected suite of products — Syla Travel, Syla eSIM, Syla Social, Syla Business, and Syla Flow — that together form a unified digital ecosystem for travel, connectivity, and commerce. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect across syla.one and our product sites, why we collect it, how it is used and shared, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies wherever this policy is linked, including from each product’s own site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we gather automatically as you use our products, and what we receive from partners who help us operate them.
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
- Booking and order details — travel itineraries, passenger information, eSIM plan selections, and business account details.
- Payment information — billing name and address, and payment method details, processed for us by PCI-compliant payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
- Communications — messages you send through contact forms, support chats, or email, and any content you post on Syla Social.
- Identity or travel documents you choose to upload for bookings that require them (e.g. passport details for certain travel or eSIM regulatory requirements).
Information collected automatically
- Device and connectivity data — device model, operating system, IP address, network carrier, and, for Syla eSIM, data plan usage and connectivity status needed to activate and support your eSIM.
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, referring pages, and timestamps, collected via analytics tools.
- Approximate location — derived from IP address or, where you grant permission, device GPS, used for currency/region defaults, fraud prevention, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 4.
Information from third parties
- Travel and connectivity partners — airlines, hotels, mobile network operators, and eSIM providers we integrate with to fulfill your bookings.
- Payment processors, who confirm successful transactions and relevant fraud-risk signals.
- Publicly available information you choose to share on Syla Social or connect from linked third-party accounts.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account, and to process bookings, orders, and eSIM activations.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To personalize content, recommendations, and pricing across our products.
- To send transactional communications (booking confirmations, activation codes, receipts) and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and performance of our products.
- To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, including telecom regulations applicable to eSIM services.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process personal data on the basis of: performance of a contract (fulfilling a booking or eSIM order), our legitimate interests (securing our services, improving our products), your consent (marketing communications, non-essential cookies, precise location), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language and theme), understand how our products are used, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any cookie banner presented on our sites; blocking essential cookies may affect core functionality such as staying signed in or completing a checkout.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:
- Service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, send communications, or provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
- Travel and connectivity partners necessary to fulfill a specific booking or eSIM activation (e.g. an airline, hotel, or mobile network operator).
- Other Syla products, when you use a shared account across the ecosystem, so your profile and preferences can carry over.
- Professional advisors, regulators, and law enforcement, where required to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Syla, our users, or the public.
- An acquirer or successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or a materially equivalent one.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our products, plus any additional period required to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations (for example, records connected to travel bookings or eSIM/telecom activations may need to be kept for a minimum statutory period). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
Because we operate across markets, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not offer the same level of data protection. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect data transferred internationally.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Request portability of data you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@syla.one. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Third-Party Links
Our products may link to third-party sites — such as airline, hotel, or network operator websites — that we do not control. This policy does not cover those sites; please review their own privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our products or legal requirements. We will post the updated version here with a revised “Last updated” date, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice.
13. Contact Us
