Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information syla.one (“Syla”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why, and how it is handled. This site is an informational/marketing site: it does not have user accounts, does not process payments, and does not host bookings. Syla’s other products (Syla Travel, Syla eSIM, Syla Social, Syla Business, Syla Flow) are operated as separate sites linked from our footer; each is governed by its own privacy policy, which you should review separately.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: what you choose to give us, and what is collected automatically as you browse.

• Contact form. When you submit the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, the topic and region you select, and your message.
• Newsletter signup. When you subscribe on our Blog page, we collect your email address.
• Automatically collected data. Standard web request data (such as IP address and browser user agent) is processed by our hosting infrastructure to serve pages and by Google reCAPTCHA to screen form submissions for automated abuse (see Section 3).
• Preferences. Your chosen language is stored in a cookie, and your chosen light/dark theme is stored in your browser’s local storage, so the site remembers your preference on return visits.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect passwords, payment details, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal information through this site.

2. How We Use Information

• To respond to messages submitted through the Contact form.
• To send the newsletter to addresses that subscribe, and nothing else.
• To detect and block spam or automated abuse of our forms (reCAPTCHA).
• To understand aggregate site usage (see Section 4) so we can improve the site.
• To remember your language and theme preference between visits.

We do not use contact-form or newsletter submissions for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

This site uses a small number of technologies that store data in your browser:

• Language preference cookie (__session) — remembers whether you’re viewing the site in English, French, or Arabic. Strictly necessary for the site to function as intended; no consent banner is shown for it.
• Theme preference — stored in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie), remembers your light/dark mode choice. Never leaves your device.
• Google reCAPTCHA — loaded on the Contact and Newsletter forms to distinguish humans from bots. Google may set cookies and process data as described in its own privacy policy (linked at the form). This runs only when you interact with a form, not sitewide.
• Vercel Analytics — a cookieless, aggregate page-view analytics tool. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers to track individual visitors across sites.

We don’t currently load advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. A full breakdown lives on our Cookie Policy page.

4. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to see aggregate metrics like page views and traffic sources. It is designed to operate without cookies or persistent device identifiers and does not build individual visitor profiles. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or session-recording tools on this site.

5. reCAPTCHA Disclosure

This site uses Google reCAPTCHA to help protect the Contact and Newsletter forms from spam and abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

• Our infrastructure and database providers (Google Firebase), who store contact and newsletter submissions on our behalf.
• Google, via reCAPTCHA, as described above.
• Vercel, via our analytics tooling, as described above.
• Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to disclose information.

7. Data Retention

We keep contact-form submissions and newsletter subscriptions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or maintain the subscription, and delete or anonymize them when no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (Section 9).

8. Data Security

Submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), accessed only through server-side, credentialed connections — form data is never exposed directly to other visitors’ browsers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter using the link in any email we send). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@syla.one. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Note: whether specific rights (e.g. under GDPR or a US state privacy law) apply to you depends on your location and is not something we assert compliance with here — if you need a formal compliance determination for a specific jurisdiction, consult qualified legal counsel.

10. Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our footer links to Syla’s other product sites and to external services (Google, Vercel). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review — this policy covers syla.one only.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to this site or applicable law. We will post the updated version here with a revised “Last updated” date.
